We have a team of professional installers as well as our Flagship Patners, who are trained in fitting the floors correctly. This is the ideal way to install your new floor.
2. How easy is a self-installation?
Fitting a TuffSeal™ floor is really not that difficult. All it requires is a good mallet, a keen eye for laying out the floor (planning the patterns or colour mix), ensuring that the floor is solid and flat, and then applying in the right sequence, methodically.
When purchasing, we give an overview and demonstration on how to fit the floor yourself. However, it is best to have experienced installers do this for you.
3. How do you cut and/or shape the tile?
Cutting tiles (they are 6.3mm thick) made of PVC can be done with a stanley knife or regular straight blade carpet cutter.
4. Is the tile recyclable with the new topcoat?
Yes, our PVC is recyclable.
5. How much extra should I buy (wastage)?
It is advisable to get 5-10% of your initial order as wastage. This is prudent as the replacement (should this be needed - accidents to happen) tile will match the batch colour and there will be consistency in colour.
6. Are spare tiles readily available or should extra tiles be purchased?
When you order, we save the exact colour mix record so we can make up a new batch for you. In all fairness, there will be a slight discrepency in the colour matching. This is why it is advisable to purchase extra tiles at the outset.
7. Is it necessary to use adhesives?
This all depends on the floor surface covered, but the majority of the time the tiles are laid without adhesive. This is because of the hidden interlocking system that joins the tiles perfectly.
8. Is stock available and if not, what is the lead time?
Orders are usually made up per customer. This means that their colours are made up specifically - if not one of our current colour sets. We do not carry stock per se as there are too many variables to orders. Lead times to get a batch made up is usually about 10 working days.
9. Do I need to pay for delivery?
We deliver countrywide, free of charge, all orders over 100m2.
10. Are there different patterns or designs available over the current single colours?
This is currently in the works. Our R&D department is finalizing the techniques to print patterns on tiles. Watch this space as we will announce this once proof of concept and workability are finalized.
